L3i New "Stinger" Barreled action

Honestly we've thought about it. Not sure how many people are interested in pre-ordering so we didn't know how seriously to take it. I think the idea is once they're in stock they have a crazy fast ship time but maybe opening it earlier would be better since people are used to waiting a long time for barreled actions

Worked out pretty well for the CZ Barrels.

I'd probably be in for a pre-order too. Really wanna see how it compares to the Vudoo.

Are you going to be offering a rechambering service/option on your earlier production barrels? I recall reading the new chamber won't be quite as tight as the one originally used on the CZ barrels.
I think there might be an option for it but not till we finish all our testing with the new reamer to see what differences there are

Most owners experienced with 700 pattern custom 22LRs have had to become low key rifle “tuners” to get them running smoothly with even 1 type of mag, let alone several brands. I know from experience. For prospective owners, a barreled action with mag, already tuned to the specific chassis would go a long way. Otherwise manufacturers open themselves up to a lot of online criticisms when $2500+ “builds” run like shit because the new owner is not an amateur gunsmith. I think that’s why CZ builds and Bergaras are still so prevalent. My Duece is accurate, and becoming smoother as I get more experienced with tuning, initial ownership experience has not alway been joyful, considering the cost.

The widened extractor cuts seem like a no-brainer to me, these cuts are always the reason people say a Vudoo can't take prefits. I always thought they could just be cut wider, or eliminated entirely with a coned breech a la RimX, with no compromise in function, but I also don't make actions or cut barrels.

Either way, glad to see the innovation! Would be interested in the barrel torque specs and a review of bolt stripping/cleaning/adjustment when the design locks in.

PS: +1 vote for offering a threaded version, even at a $100 markup, but I also understand that SKU minimization is important.
I made many pre-fits for the Vudoo, not a hard thing to do and without timing threads. About half of my Vudoo's were barreled without the host action in hand.

We've actually been trying to make that decision. It's a horrible feeling taking someones money when you don't have 100% dates when you'll be able to deliver.

Actions back then must have been spot on compared to the last 4 years or so.
I can't speak to the state of things after I left, but I can imagine the direction things could've gone. But having said that, pre-fits for the Vudoo were never as difficult as they were made out to be.
