Considering of buying a LAR Grizzly Mk V 50AE with a 44 magnum conversion kit(uses same slide as 50AE) and having the barrel reamed to shoot 429 DE magnum rounds(factory loads 210/240 grains). What are your opinions about this?

Do you hunt freezers or Buicks? This is the gun you use on home intruders, when they hide behind the piano, three houses down.
It's going to boil down to a cost/benefit for you. I'm not familiar with the 429 DE so I couldn't say. Between having both the 44 and 50 barrels though your money might be better spent on ammo and training. I had a 50 ae a couple decades ago and it was a cast-iron bitch to shoot without flinching
