I ordered a larue stealth 16' upper last thursday. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. I got a call on monday saying they were shipping it off! I asked them how they did it so fast and they said they have caught up to production. I recieved the upper today. It is nothing short of amazing. The fit and finish is perfect. I put the upper on a spikes lower and it fits perfectly with zero play. It came with a 12' rail and a SS Ion Bond finish. I can't wait to go out and shoot it. Pics will come.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

When I ordered an OBR from Larue, Alfred gave me a list of freebies that he was going to "throw in". He included the grey Magpul furniture (grip/stock/clips). Two months later, and prior to the rifle being shipped - another rep stated that LT had been taking the parts from a Magpul kit and this made the unused parts in the kit useless (and unsaleable). They stopped this practice and she requested that I had to pay an additional $130. I probably whined a bit and another rep that day said he'll throw in Harris bipod for free since I had to pay for the kit.
Later, I thought about it and they were right in charging extra for the kit. LT was losing money on a practice that their sale-people started and probably management tried to stop the loss. But the gesture was well appreciated and I have to give Larue Tactical a big vote for winning my loyal business.

I have been a loyal Larue customer for years now with no signs of my "addiction" easing up in the future.

Congrats on your Stealth upper...be sure to put up a range report and some pics when you have time.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

Wow thats crazy. I got a hat, some bumper stickers, and dry rub. I was hoping the get a tactical bottle opener, lol. Anyway, I'll be posting a range report as soon as I get to the range. Actually, I may wait till I get optics. I know, its like a sin to not have optics on this upper, but I am out of money after that purchase. I'm going to take it to the range and shoot it with irons and see how it does.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

Mark LaRue and Company are definitely top notch in my book as well.

jesse, the dry rub is excellent on chicken and come Dec. you'll get a Christmas bottle opener from LaRue.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

Larue just did my department right on the purchase of mounts for aimpoints for all of our patrol rifles. I am more than pleased with both thier products and their service. They bend over backwards to do everything right.

I'm pleased to hear that they support our LEOs. Lord knows they need dependable equipment on duty.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

I have been a Larue fan for the last six years. I have ran them on all my ARs and have had nothing but great things to say about them. I just got an American Defense Recon Mount and would say it is right up there with Larue. The only reason I got the Recon is the price was half of the larue from a private person and I was in need of a mount. I am just happy to see two great companies making great stuff here in the USA.

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

Just back from shooting MY OBR this morning, and yes, what a quality piece! Our little group had a pretty cool collection out this morning, and the OBR shot as well as ANY of the bolt guns.

Alfred is a good guy, haven't met him in person yet, but he sure makes spending money there easy doesn't he?

And they are Texans too!

Re: Larue Has Earned My Business

OK I'll play! here is a quick one with the OBR on the right.

Theres also a couple of other shooters in the pile-o-guns, although everything there is the best I can make it. I am particularly fond of the camo 243, but it has a 1-10 twist and won't shoot DTAC's. There is also a cedar camo 308, that weighs about 5.5 pounds, without glass. It's wearing a Horus 4x16, thinking it needs a straight 10x, maybe an USO ST10.

Just about all the AR platforms have some kind of Larue goodie on them.

We were at ASC yesterday, early. The mirage was the usual unbearable when the sun was out, good when a cloud came over. I am spoiled from shooting at the ranch, across canyons etc, much less mirage in the summer. My friend had his GAP 260 and TRG22 folder, I had the black TRG and the OBR this time.

Working today on a 300WM and a 243 Surgeon. Need to finish before fall shooting season gets here!

Your pics please?
