Larue scope mount repeatability, really?? - AR15.COM
I thought this might be of some interest to those wondering about LT mounts for a precision rig. This test shows that the mount is at least as repeatable as qd mounts that cost twice as much. What I am still unsure about is whether it will loosen over time as described in some discussions I have read on this site. The OP in this thread states that his LT mounts have not come loose in 1000 rounds. It does appear to have marred the finish of the rail, although the poster states that it is not damaged. I think I would have to disagree with that after seeing the pic. I suppose at the very least, the test answers a few questions.
Don't get me wrong-I'm not going to run out and replace all my spuhr and gdi mounts with Larue's, but I thought this test was worth a look.
