Left Hander's Unite - Surgeon Lefty in Prototype

[JSTARSZ]

I talked to Surgeon Rifles today and found out that they are completing some left handed Surgeon 591 Prototypes...oh, I am so stoked now. I got my name
on the their lefty list for when they actually come to fruition. I asked about if they are going to build a Scalpel off the new action but got a not sure about
that so if I can just get the receiver I will get one built by one of the fine gunsmiths from the Hide - I smell a 260 or 6.5CM coming on!!!

I think if the lefty's show that we are serious and there is a strong demand for a left handed Surgeon 591 we may just show them there are
strength in our numbers. Surgeon number 405-567-0183

Come on all you left eyed dominant people and true lefty's...our time has come.

If any Surgeon officials would like to update I would welcome the input.

Funny, I was just thinking about getting one for a build in the future. I used to buy standard right hand actions but decided my days of comprimise are over. I want it built to meet my needs. I will call them and get my name on the list as well.

I would definitely like to give Surgeon the feeling that there are lots of us left handed shooters out there and we would love to own a Surgeon.

My wife is left eye dominant, she dislikes guns, and could care less about it. However, is this a reason for me to buy one, too?

well think about it from the lefty's point of view - I am right handed but left eye dominant and have always bought a right handed rifle. And, now,
that I am older and wiser, I have choices as so do you. So, with all that, I say go for it and make the wife shoot.

Email sent to Surgeon help out. I am just now building my first precision rifle on a REM 700, so I won't be in the market anytime soon. One day if I have to re-barrel my 260 build I may upgrade the action to a Surgeon if I have the means at the time. Nice to know that when I do, I'll have the option of the best action available and not have to settle....

I called yesterday afternoon and got my name on the list. Justin ( I think ) told me they had some chambered up and were sending them out for testing. I told him he had the right person on the phone as I try to test rifles everyday and would test theirs as well. I think I'm to late, but you never know!

defiance will build any action config you want, quality action used by many here GAP,skunkworks etc etc
I,m on my third left Defiance action they just rock

They both make outstanding actions but getting another high end maker to make one for the lefty's too that is always a great day.

as a left-hander who's been shooting a lefty bighorn, and who has a left-bolt, right-port defiance on order... i'd definitely like a lefty surgeon to shoot in matches.

Trust me that Dustin has done enough hounding for everyone! Please call the shop only to place orders. Calling to ask "are we there yet" will only slow the process.
Dustin will be running the lone prototype until we can turn out our first full batch around the end of the year. At that time we will set aside actions for complete builds and sell what is left.

For you sir I have great news and some not so great news.

The great news is that you will be able to buy a Lefty Scalpel and that will be your best way to get one of the first run of lefties.

The bad news for you is that I'm the one testing the prototype lefty and getting the SN that you'd like.

I should be running this rifle at Nor-Cal, NTRP, Gap Grind and the PRS finale if you'd like to see it.

i emailed them earlier today. I wanted to give them a different perspective.

I didn't say I'm a lefty and want a lefty action now... I told them i'm only 18 and just starting out but if they make a lefty action then I'll probably be a customer for the rest of my life, after im done with college and such, and that there are probably plenty of more young leftys that could be future customers.

They ARE making a left-handed action. Please understand that there are several CNC mills running making actions as fast as humanly possible and the left-handers are on the list and are getting made but as Wade said earlier it will most likely be the end of the year before there is big batch available for purchase.

So please everyone that wants one call and get your name on the list and you can even order a rifle but believe me when I say that you cannot strong arm them into doing it faster.

sorry I must have misunderstood. From how I read everything they made a couple prototypes and were thinking of making lefty actions.
