Lets say you have a 5", 7", and 9" model suppressor, much like what TBAC is currently offering.
The noise difference will be obvious, but my question is purely in regards to recoil reduction and secondly muzzle blast in close quarters, for example: the culvert shot at SH Cup.
Where do you start to hit a point of diminishing returns with recoil reduction? 3"? 6"? My thought is if I must wear ear protection anyways, maybe I'm willing to give up a few dB for a more compact rifle if it still shoots as well. Does anyone have some first hand experience shooting the same model suppressor in different lengths back to back? I shot the 5" and 7" TBAC at demo days back to back, but they were mounted on a 300 BLK shooting subs so both felt the same. I'm wondering if this would translate to my 6.5 Creedmoor.
