i have the oppurtunity to buy a CZ 453 22lr, it has a leopold fixed power 10x on it with an adjustable objective and fine crosshairs - no target dot just crosshairs.

no target turrets or "tactical trinkets" on it.

has some use marks / wear on it especially on the adjustment caps, but no signs of damage.

can anyone direct me to what model it may be, how old it may be, and for about how much i can get for the scope?

i tried searching, coming up with nothing but the 10x fixed tactical type scopes.

i'd appreciate any help

Re: leopold 10x fixed power

It may be one of the old M3's, premier ret (in the old days)would put the footballs mil-dots in there for you (with leupold's blessing), new generation running things, don't think they'll do it now. BTW the M3's (not with target cross hairs) was orignally on the first M24s.

Re: leopold 10x fixed power

BCP, it looks alot like that link, but it has lower adjustment dials.

paw print, may be nice t have an that scope on a M24 project, if it is an M3.

i have to stop back to the gunshop today and take a look at the scope more for any type of serial #'s and such.

again the scope doesn't really turn me on, if i can sell it i could be into the rifle less than what the rifle is worth,

if there's any more info, let me know. i'll try to find a proper model # on it.

Re: leopold 10x fixed power

just came back from the gun store - darn my procrastination - the rifle is on hold and will have to call tomorrow to see if the guy is taking it.

anyhow, looks like it was pre 1974, according to the leopold site, everything newer than 74 has a letter suffix or prefix. the serial number on the scope in question has neither. SN 497346

hopefully the guy will not take it tomorrow. if that's the case, i'll have a pre 74 leopold fixed 10 power for sale

thanks for the help.

I had several M8 10X42's that I ran back in the day. Not a bad scope for the money.
