And that is why good theories... don't work in practice! In theory, I agree. The rub is, if they didnt have BS laws for "minors", that shit bag wouldve been formally charged with serious threats of violence, had a criminal record, and wouldn't have been able to buy the guns. There would be no need for a red flag law.
What happens when grandma starts running stop signs and almost killing people on the road, yet still has a car and a valid driver's license? The family takes the keys to the car. Should be the same for guns. Everyone, including his family HAD TO KNOW this dude was crazy af. Take his guns and tell the police of his history. I'd bet a dollar against a donut that there is already some law on the books that would address this situation. It's the "take guns first, due process later" that scares the shit out of me. The lack of evidence that will suffice to use the red flag law. Just wait until the left is in charge someday. These red flag laws will eventually bite anyone of dissent to the federal gov
I have faith that we are better off with a walking hand-grenade which is fragging the Swamp every day than I do in having the Arkansas Succubus or any of the 2020 Commie idiots as our CinC. For the first time since Reagan, we have someone who is putting us first. Not global interests and not the swamp that got him there.
Is he... unpresidential? No. Because by definition, we made him President. So he is Presidential. I just want to see another 6 years of devastation in DC that will set the Commie agenda back another 40 years. Like Reagan did.
And maybe this time, the "Wall" that will fall is not going to be the one around Berlin. It will be the final stomping of the Communists/socialists/progressive/liberals/leftists and other scum that have infiltrated our republic and are trying to destroy it from within.
THAT is what I voted for. And what I have faith in. And the more he gets attacked by the Swamp... the more I know we are on the right track.
