This morning, well before sun up with winds up to 15mph, i was pondering an area to hit up i haven't called for a year, so i went with my gut instinct, and rustled my camera man out of bed... while sneaking along the edge of a cedar grove to get to our set, i spotted a coyote a good quarter mile off, kill mode set in, and i pulled my trusty Circe from my AGC bino pack, got prone real fast and here are some still shots of the HD footage.
    ENJOY!!!

prone with the suppressed 260 and the trusty circe,

    brought this coyote,

I let the 260 do work, and put this dog to sleep.

tallest one they make, i believe 27" @ full length... i swap it out regularly with my shorter one, its just hard to tell if i'm gonna make a set using prone or sitting position.

Stop by predator masters and ask...it will never be the "right bullet", but as you can see...skinney's a killa

I keep a 6-9" Harris on the rifle at all times and carry a Bog Pod in the back pack. Rock steady prone or very steady seated or knealing. Give one a try!

    And, nice coyote.

I love that last pic. You know the kill is fresh when the critter eyes are still reflecting. Sweet shootin' Skinney.

Man, that time of day dusk or dawn, when you can see; but the sweep of a light will still give the critter away for the reflection off his eyes. It almost ain't fair for the critter!

    Thnx,
    Breeze

139 scenars? I've killed 186 coyotes with that bullet. Every once in awhile I'll get a "runner" after making a solid broadside rib shot without hitting bone. The farthest I had one run was about 200 yards. The Berger Hunting VLD's open up quicker and do a little more damage on those same type of shots. If you save fur, the scenar is probably a better choice.

Nice pics skinney! I'm heading over to western Montana next week for a little go at the wolves.....wish me luck! I'll be packing my .260.

PGS, i had the same thing happen with the 139's, had a perfect shot double lung/heart, hardly any hole, and had one run about 75yds while the other went about 200yds, got em both on HD video, kinda funny some of the skeptics over @ PM still get their panties in a wad over a clean killed dog thats dead on its feet!!! especially when a good fur is 50 bucks and the only damage done is another dead dog... wish you were over there with your knowledge.
