You are quite wrong there Sir. The online LP community has significantly grown a lot since it was started over at Something Awful. There's actually a really funny story behind the LP war. See, even though LPing has been around since before the internet, it was a single person who brought it to the mainstream of the internet. That individual was Michael Sawyer. He goes by the screen name of "Slowbeef". He is a member of Something Awful and is actually a moderator of the LP section there. Well, that website requires you to pay a one time only fee to be able to post there and additional fees if you want avatars and crap like that. So members of YouTube then jumped on the band wagon, but the problem was that the majority of YouTubers who were posting LPs didn't know shit about how to do it properly and were pretty much just posting uber crap. And to add insult to injury the YouTube community claimed responsibility for making the LP community mainstream and that ticked off Slowbeef and the rest of the Something Awful LP community. As a result, Slowbeef and his friend "Diabetus" launched a project known as "Retsupurae" and what the project did was steal bad LPs from YouTube and then they would dub their own commentary over the original. It souunds like it would be a shitty idea, but it is some of the funniest stuff I have heard in a long time and it is 1 of only 3 channels I'm subscribed to.

And to answer BALLISTIC's question, I'm here for the same reason everyone else is here. I'm a gun owner and 2A supporter as well as avid trapshooter, practical/tactical shotgunner, plinker, small game/varmint hunter. I've also gotten into long range rimfire shooting which is very fun and cheap as you can imagine. As for long range centerfire rifles, we all know the story about the .338RUM I used to have so there's no reason to bring that up and the 5.56mm M700 SPS that I have been planning on buying has been put on hold for the time being because my new interest in long range rimfire has been taking up lots of my shooting time.
It's no secret we have gamers at this site. I figured if people are mature enough to exist here and to be gun owners, then they should be mature enough to use proper discretion and not watch something they know they're not going to like nor have interests in. And those who have an interest in it will watch it and comment on it if need be. And besides, we are talking about a Contra game here. That in itself is the epitome of coolness and apparently skill because Contra games are supposedly the hardest games ever made. I beg to differ though.
Thanks for watching.
