Started life as a Rem700 SPS Tact in .308. Just had the action trued and Krieger barrel chambered in .260 and installed by NW Actionworks. Only has 130ish rounds through it, 142SMK's at 2820 FPS, and has proven to be plenty accurate from 100-1300 yards thus far. Absolutely zero complaints.

My .260 on the cheap build

On the cheap with some used parts and my own labor
McRees chassis with Atlas bipod and monopod, MOE+ grip, and McRees stock pack
Remington 700 action with PTG .300 recoil lug and Brux 24" M40 profile barrel with Little Jimmy brake. I bought the low round count used barrel from a Hide member and headspaced it by making a spacer to fit the gap left by it being fitted prior to a Defiance action then glass beaded the barreled action
Timney 510 set to 1.75 lbs.
EGW 0 MOA rail pinned and oversize (#8-40) screws
Home brewed bolt knob
XRS in a Spuhr 13 mil ISMS with cheapskate switchview

Haven't had a chance to run a ladder and work up a load yet but so far it is the most accurate rifle I've ever shot.

Joe
