I own one PDC CUSTOM stock that I use on my duty rifle at work and I have another that's scheduled to be ready next week. (One of Craig's new forend designs) so needless to say I'm getting really excited at this point. Post pics of your PDC CUSTOM stocks and I'll get a pic of my new one up as soon as it arrives... Maybe the pics will hold me over until then (or make the anxiety worse)...

Here is my current stock on my duty rifle... The only thing custom I did was have the cheek rest coated with soft bed-liner...

How well can you drive it if you have to shoot support side?

Chiller,

Through training and practice we do shoot support side. That process is always uncomfortable, but was just as much when I was shooting an HS. It's not ideal, but neither is the situation, but it is doable....

Here is my as far as I know one of a kind PDC Custom stocks. I don't own it anymore cause I couldn't shoot it worth a $hit but here is a picture.

As accurate as any rifle. These chassis are built like tanks. I use mine to shoot 600 yard F-open. Took 4th at my last match, bested by 3 heavy hitters because I got winded on a shot. Seriously, these chassis are at the top level and I doubt you will find any MORE rigid on the market.

My tightest Dept. qual with my above rifle. 20 rounds total. 10 rounds, magazine change, then 10 more rounds. Prone 100 yards and has to be done in less than 3 minutes. Rem 700, Hart barrel, PDC Customs stock....not bedded...

I know Craig personally and he is very much a perfectionist when it come to machining. The really cool thing about his chassis is the way he inletted it for the action, there are multiple points of contact so there is no reason to bed it at all. I have one on the way, for the money there isn't a better deal out there.

I can vouch for Craig as well. During the wait for my chassis, which wasn't even close to the gunsmith wait, Craig had a couple of set backs, IE. mechanical/personal. It delayed the stock a month, but he called me and offered several add-ons to the stock free of charge. The machining and coating on this thing is soooo clean.

Another vouch here for Craig. He actually let me hang out at the shop for a few hours while he finished up/ made changes to my xp-100R pistol stock. Great guy to deal with. If I'm ever in the need for a chassis system again. He'll be my first call.

It's a remington xp-100r specialty pistol in 260Rem with a 18in Mcgowen barrel. Now that I have a suppressor I almost wish I had kept it. I had a hard time controlling the recoil pulse the same way everytime.

The GREAT thing is that PDC CUSTOM is still making both styles so you can order whatever one you want...

I love my old style one for bipod shooting, but the new forend is much more friendly on the hands and feels more natural in a standing shooting position.....and the weight reduction is nice as well....

To each his own...I'm glad PDC gives so many options....

Not ONE CENT....I believe in taking care of and promoting the guys who really care about their customers and customer service. If you have dealt with Craig at PDC then you will know EXACTLY what I'm referring to... He not only goes the extra mile, but will go an extra 10 to make his customers happy and updated about their purchase. Look at the McMillan bit@h post a few threads down and you will see how put-off people get from a lack of caring, updates, and crappy customer service. I believe when you get the level of product that Craig produces combined with his customer service that his company deserves some serious PROPS.....

$$$ isnt always the motive for good press......

The same reason places like Rifles Only, GAP, and APA get TONS of positive cudos on this forum....because they have great customer service combined with an amazing end product....

This is my 700 SPS LT Tactical in 308 in a custom designed PDC. Craig does an awesome job and if you have an idea for a chassis he will work with you. That's one of his custom bi-pods and the chassis has a Freeland rail machined into it. You won't be disappointed!

We are working on updating the site and getting more info on it. The 'forearm height' option lets you pick between the raised forearm with the finger grooves on the sides or the lower one that lets more air flow around the barrel. The UNS is the tri-rail mount. We are going to do a separate category for the gen 2 chassis.

Cool, thanks for the update. I have to admit... the pics of the 'thinner' forearm, the one that has more of a tapered appearance... really look intriguing for some reason. A little less blocky 'look' than I'm used to seeing with a chassis system, I guess... nice

Here is mine.

I recently had my friend machine up a big ass 3 inch wide forearm for mine. Looks pretty awesome and tracks way better during F-open matches. I love working with chassis as making new parts for them is a breeze. I will get pics up when I get the chance.

That rifle Absolutely Rocks! I saw your specs from another thread, but I believe others would like to know too when they see it here. Love to see some Groups and Range Report though!

My PDC on the .300 WM 5R is the Older (I think) Folder Version and I Love It! The AICS .300 WM Magazine fits Snug and Everything is Clean and Professionally finished. Shoots like a Dream Too. The only issue I've had so far is the Folding Joint located on the Chassis would almost hit me in the Teeth every now and then when shooting the .300WM without a Brake. I think either my shooting position is bad or I need to add a brake and just be more careful (Thank God it never actually knock my teeth out yet...Fingers Crossed) LOL...That'd be a story to tell.


I got the Same Exact Weaver Tac Scope on my MK12ish SPR and it's Very Nice for the Money. I'm thinking about another one too for my .308 OBR too. For the money it's a Fantastic Deal for a Mil/Mil Scope. Thanks for sharing Sir!!!

Craig went ahead and lightened the chassis eveywhere he could so it would be ultra light weight. Normally he wont do the pocket cuts in the hand guard or machine it out as deep as he did with mine.

Ah. I was going to say, those 'pockets' on the center section looked pretty sweet, and the ones up front complement the lower fore-end very nicely.

How much weigh savings was there over stock / un-skeletonized? If you don't mind me asking, how much extra did the custom work run ya?

I think it shaved off 5-6 ounces, I am not sure exactly how much though. As for the cost to do it I am not sure. I run Craig's website so we just trade labor, it would be best to contact him for the exact cost
