Re: Leupold Mark 4 Iphone adapter

I didn't check the other links posted in here but you can go to youtube and watch Tyler Kemp from G.A. Precision using a iScope adapter for the eye phone. It's adjustable for all scopes.

Google "Youtube G.A. Precision HDMR" and it will pop up. He has it on a Bushnell HDMR with the G2 reticle and there is through scope video of him using the reticle and shooting long range. Cool stuff.

EDIT:

Here it is

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4B2_RFmfcws"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4B2_RFmfcws" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed></object>

iScope footage starts around minute 6:30

I think he said it runs around $150

When do the iPhone 5 compatible items hit the market?

Upgraded to the 5 and would like to know this as well.

Re: Leupold Mark 4 Iphone adapter

^^^ looks like the Iscope is the only one that works with the iphone 5 right now. Might have to pick one up and try it sine there are pretty much no reviews on it. Or I might just try making one myself using an old phone case.

Sure wish that someone would make a decent one at a reasonable price point. The MINITS looks like the cats ass but at $225-400. That seems like a bit much.

We are shooting for mid January on the new iPhone 5 adapters.

LaRue makes a nice attachment for anyone with an iPad

http://www.laruetactical.com/ipad-nv-optics-adapter

meant for NV but with an additional adapter you can use the leupy spotter

I'm not sure if LaRue is making these for US Nightvision, or vice versa, but USN sells the exact same unit for the exact same price. Given LaRue is in the metal fabricating business, I'm guessing they're making it. I saw one at SHOT show this year, and the concept is very cool. BUT... Has anyone here shelled out the $550 for the iPad frame and Leupold adapter, and if so, how does it perform in the real world?

My primary concerns are 1. The unit is always shown with the frame being the support member, with the weight of the scope hanging off the adapter. It seems like it would jiggle a lot with the scope acting like a diving board off the front of this thing. And 2. the glossy iPad screen is going to be a bitch to see outdoors if you're not in cover, I would guess.

Still, I really want one...
