Leupolds red dot VX 5 HD scopes any good?

Anyone have any experience with these? Thinking about Leupolds VX 5HD 3x5x15x44 red dot. Read that the dot is fuzzy. Its a PITA. Anything comments good or bad appreciated. Thanks Rob

Red dots appear fuzzy to anyone with astigmatism.

It's all personal preference. You need to look at one in person and decide for yourself.

I think they're good hunting scopes. Clear glass, but not great reticles for target shooting or precision shooting.

You can watch reviews about it on YouTube with scopes you get what you pay for, IMHO It is not going to blow your hair back, but it will get the job done. The Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16×44 is hard to beat in that price point

The VX-5HD is a good scope. As for the clarity of the dot, that's up to your eyeballs. But, there's nothing wrong with the dot.

I liked them enough to buy one for what I presume will be my main deer rifle:

Finally got it to the range the other day. My son and I both like it.

Bright & clear. The FireDot is very handy.

I just got a smoking deal on a VX6 HD 3x18x50. Red dot.. Gonna mount it on my 300 win mag for deer. Missed to many chances at some fine bucks cause it was to dark to see the reticle. Read alotta great reviews about them. Im old so I might as well spend my money for something I want. Let you know how it works out. Rob
