I got my first dog of 2020 this weekend in a new area and it’s much more open than I have hunted in the past. My tripod and I stood out like sore thumbs and I got to thinking about some type of Camo netting to cover the front of the tripod which would also help hide me as well. I typically hike a big loop to multiple different stands so weight is important. I also want something that can be cut to size and not fall apart. I found some stuff local to me but it was a thin plastic materiel with half moon cuts in it and was flimsy and shiny, not what I was looking for.

Anyways. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Pics of the dog and one of the stands that I think the Camo netting would help blend me into the tree.

A quick, easy, cheap, and effective way would be heavy duty rubber bands or boot bands wrapped around the legs. Then you just pull vegetation from your location and strap it onto your legs. You’ll blend better than with a net and it’s one less thing to pack around. Obviously this won’t work if your hunting area doesn’t have any vegetation lol.

you could just paint your self to look like part of the dirt and that tiny tree add some tinsel and you could be the charlie brown Christmas tree oh and a red ball lol

I've thought about that very idea awhile ago, getting some sort of camo netting to break up the tripod's silhouette. Instead, I just spray painted the tripod in camo colors. However, I've gotten away from using the tripod over the last year or so. Keep getting burned by coyotes that come in fast and close from an unexpected direction and then I can't swing the rifle around quick enough. I prefer to use the long Harris SR-25C bipod instead.

I spray painted my tripod camo and wrapping elastic cord around the legs. I Also carry little garden pruners so I can cut sage brush and stuff it in the elastic.
I sit in shadows when I can, if I can't I make sure not to silhouette myself.
