Just wanted to pass on the incredible customer service from d.wilsonmfg.

I sent off my non-replaceable Satern cut rifled 20" .308 barrel for conversion over to MWS. Dave turned it around in one week!

The most impressive part, that I can't remember anyone else doing, is he emailed me that he received it the day it got there. I really appreciated that since UPS just seems to lose the important items.

Call me crazy, but I didn't realize Dwilson did URX conversion on the MWS quad. So am really leaning towards selling the LM8 upper to grab a quad. Is there still a market for such? What's the going value for an LM8 this day in age?

They did a blowout sale for around 500(LM8 no barrel) and after that, around there is where I’ve seen a few LM8’s for sale price wise. If you bought it not during that sale, I doubt you’ll see near what you spent. Which is why I’ll just keep mine! Great upper.

Absolutely. Just a matter of the right buyer/right time. I’m not a huge mlok fan. I prefer either quad or the LM8 system. I mean I imagine you could get 500 for the stripped upper no prob if it’s in good shape for the guys that missed the deal!

For sure it’s like new. In excellent condition. Just wonder what a quad would run me. Probably 1000 or so. I’ll likely just get the lower get it together run it till i feel like switching

I would for sure. You might just find that you don’t need the quad URX drip down the line . I’m running mine as a relatively light set up MWS lower, LM8 upper, LW SS 16” barrel. Super happy with it. Although I must admit the quad URX is sick. Yeah the quads are still going for 1k or more. I’d wait till around Christmas time and see. LMT does a bunch of sales around then.

It’ll definitely be later down the line. I don’t have a need other than i love the aesthetic and don’t wanna source KAC stuff (hence my MGL110 venture with the sabre10)

I’ll say the ole FA762SS really shows its weight when i put it on that upper. I plan on getting a psr 7 for it. But i also have a lot on the to do list.

Currently rebarreling a sako 85 to 6.5 prc, trying to secure an MGL110, for the mock m110 build, need to redo our 300wby that no one uses to a 7prc, plan on getting an MRAD 300 prc at some point it just goes on and on and on lol. I still don’t have the lmt lower either. Right now focus is getting the MGL110

Who thinks the suppressor cover is the wrong color? I really don't want to buy another offing cover but everyone I run into keeps bringing it up so vanity might make me....

I've gotten 3 mlok mwsLs and one mesh in the last few months. Finish wise they are not show queens, definitely not as nice as my old quad rail mrps but I expect them to work fine

The Sniper’s Hide answer is to buy a new suppressor cover. Also, keep this cover, and buy a new rifle/suppressor combo so the cover doesn’t just sit in a box.

I haven't purchased anything in the past year, but just looking around the various message boards, it doesn't seem like there's a bad batch of anything floating around.

In the event that there's an issue, they will make it right.

I have bought a MARS-H and a MARS-L in the past 6 months. They are comparable to the MWS that I bought 10 years ago and to my KAC guns.
Machining and finish are good and they run flawlessly.
I can’t comment on their CS as I have never had to use it.

The guns come with H3’s. Unless you’re using an 18 or 20” factory barrel that’s been chopped, H3 is what you’ll want.

Either will work. I have the C1 max on my mk12 mod H cause i didn’t want the thumb screws from the regular snagging on anything. If you need a mount that is a little forward but don’t like those screws sticking out the Reptilia is also really high quality and a tad cheaper. Considering the LMT is monolithic you could go with either.

In it's current configuration, no. I need to switch to a higher diving board so it'll clear the thermal. I have been eyeing a different laser like the Wilcox or one of the newer Envision units. Alternatively, I could mount the LRF on the side of the rail.

What suppressor is that?

Deadair Primal (.46? Cal) I had laying around. Probably switch to something else down the road, but it seems to work for now.

If I understand your meaning. I strongly disagree. IMO MWS is a cornerstone in AR development. LMT pushed the industry with the most rigid, repeatable upper with LMT barrels, not aftermarket. People have taken upon themselves to add barrels for calibers not offered by LMT or for lighter weight and in some instances more accurate barrels. Nothing wrong with LMT barrels.

I wouldn't personally agree but to each their own, I'd say the MWS platform is the large frame lego set for shooters. I've had excellent results from factory LMT SS and chrome barrels, haven't had a reason to use other manufacturer's barrels. Still the best large frame pattern package out there in my opinion, that's just me though.

I guess no one makes barrels in various sizes, materials or profiles for any other AR frame or platform - just the MWS

Mine has a factory 16" chrome lined barrel and shoots sub moa with match ammo.

I’ve never had any problems with LMT barrels. Their cut rifled stainless barrels shoot as good as other custom cut rifled barrels I have. Their chrome lined barrels shoot good as well.

The only reason to convert another barrel for the LMT’s is to have something they don’t offer.

I don’t see any difference in going custom for an LMT vs any other platform.
