Load to fire form 6 Dasher brass after hydro forming

Ok my brass is hydro formed, looking for next step, I have hornady 105 hpbt, varget powder H4350, CCI 450 CCI br4.

If I were in your shoes I'd probably try to find a match ready load that was on the conservative end for the first firing on the brass. Hitting the brass with a hot load on the first firing can potentially loosen primer pockets early. Maybe find something in the low 2900's with a 105 bullet? Probably something between 31-32 of Varget to get that range.

Seems a waste of barrel life to just burn fireforming rounds through hydro brass, kinda defeats the purpose of having bought hydro brass in the first place.

I bought my Hydro brass from Rimfire Mike here on SH, and he ran it all through a full length sizing die before shipping it to me. It was pretty much just prime, load, & shoot after that. I found an accurate load in a lower velocity node and ran with it. Out of 500 Pieces of fireformed brass, I think I shot 300 of them in matches and 200 in practice (100 of those were on the train-up day before the K&M Kahles match).

For me the entire attraction of hydroforming was avoiding burning components and barrel life fireforming.

I fire form with 31gr of Varget after hydro forming using inexpensive bullets. Keep older barrels on hand that are no longer suitable for competition for fire forming
