How has the brass life been. Specifically with the Remington brass? That is what I have but am just getting the barrel put on and haven't done any shooting.

Rifle : Remington sendaro Simi custom
Barrel: 26" with a vias brake 1 in 10 twist
Primer: federal match mag rifle

Ogive: 3.989
Velocity: 2980
Best Group: .48
Brass Remington
Bullet 215 VLD hybrid
Will shoot out to 1000 well under MOA

The Remington is easiest to come by and when match prepped it's good. The Nosler is good stuff but fast getting too expensive. Federal occasionally runs some but I haven't used it. Norma occasionally runs some when they're not making the Nosler brass and it's good but next to impossible to find. If you find some, whatever it is, buy it to start out with and take care of it. Annealing is big, not pushing too much pressure is bigger. I maxed out some loads and stretched some primer pockets before I went back to a midrange load with great accuracy albeit a little slower and my brass has thanked me ever since...

Brass: Remington
Bullet:208 A-Max

Ogive: 3.153
Velocity: 2833
Best Group: .604

I'm still playing with loads, I'm pretty sure this rifle is capable of better groups. I just worked up a bunch of loads using 208 amax and retumbo but haven't had a chance to shoot them yet. I did extensive testing on with the H1000 and 208 amax and that was the best I could get. I think my rifle just dosen't like H1000, will post my results with the retumbo.

Just wanted to up date my earlier post. I finished with the retumbo and 208 a-max's and the results were an improvement over 208 and H1000.

Rifle: Stock Remington 700 Sendero SFII
Barrel: Stock 26" with a FB Brake
Brass: Remington
Bullet:208 A-Max
Primer: 250CCI
Powder: 89.1gn of Retumbo
COAL: I think it is 3.808 but could be wrong, I rarely look at this measurement and don't have it wrote down
Ogive: 3.153
Velocity: 2915
Best Group: 3 shot group .270" at 100yds. I shot 2 more rounds after this for a 5 shot group which streched to .720". I don't know if my barrel was still too hot or if it was me or if .720" is just the best this rifle can do. The 4th and 5th shots went in same spot, just a little low and left of the first 3 shots. This is also the only groups I've shot with this load right now so I guess I'll see how it holds up with some more shooting.

I love this caliber!
