This is what I shoot. The bipod is not on it in the picture, but the sunshade is. The entire rifle weighs 9 lbs with the bipod.
I use a CZ 455 American with a Hawke 8.5-25x42 1/2 mil-dot weighing 32oz with the rings. The rings are made by weaver and are fully adjustable for windage and elevation. This allowed me to adjust the scope all the way down and then zero for 50 yards. This gives me the whole 60 minutes of adjustment range and lets me get to 300 yards with room to spare. The scope adds significant weight to the rifle, but adds stability and reduces recoil to the point where you can see the impact at most ranges.
I shoot to 300 yards but mostly between 100-200.
I use a Harris 6-9" notch leg swivel bipod and I love it. I have a leather military sling and sometimes use it for extra support when standing or kneeling. (I do not shoot position shooting)
I have done some bolt and trigger work. The trigger breaks like a glass rod at 8 oz and the bolt floats on air. I installed pillars and can fit 13 bills under the barrel all the way to the action.
As for groups, some call me a liar. I don't care. The AVERAGE is around 3/4" at 100 yds and 1.5" at 200. I have done much better and much worse. This is one that I shot in front of the range officer at the Menomonie range.
I have shot groups at 200 that were 1/2 inch, but most are around the inch-and-a-half mark. Wind is the biggest hurdle. I would rather shoot in a good steady wind, than in a light switching breeze.
I shoot CCI SV almost exclusively. I have had some REALLY GOOD lots and some that didn't shoot so good. I try to buy a few hundred rounds of a new lot and try them before buying more. This lets me pick the good stuff from the not-so-good stuff. The first lot I had shot like it had a guidance system. I went through 5,000 rounds of it over the summer and then could not find any more of it

I was busting 1" pebbles at 200 yards with ease. I have not had a lot like that since. That was when most people were calling it BS. I have found some good lots since, but none have done so well as the first. I am wishing I had saved it, but what is the purpose of saving it only to shoot it later? I dunno...
I have started shooting CCI Velocitor. I have found them to be very accurate in the few boxes I have tried so far. Very fast and they hit like a hammer. Perfect expansion. I like them, but have to shoot them more before I decide to stock up.
Don't bother calling BS on me, as others have already done it. Doesn't bother me. Just work hard to shoot well and don't let anyone get you down. If you don't believe in yourself, you won't shoot well.
