Can anyone specify the differences between their models? I emailed LRA to ask and no answer. I'm looking at the F class, light tactical and heavy tactical.

Mark Gordon @ Short Action Customs stocks them. I bought my last one there not to long ago. I prefer the short leg, tactical model!

I have a tactical and an F-Class. The difference between them is the amount of recurve that sets the barrel under the point where the legs would meet if you were to extend them above the rifle. Hard to describe... easier for me to take a picture and post it up here. I'll get it up later today.
My F-Class is an older version with the old type anchor pins. The Tactical is a lightweight current model. Awesome technology if you can afford it I would make the leap and not look back. Incredibly stable secure shooting platform.

DTA stocks them as well. I have the short leg and the long leg for the HTI. Depending on the distances you are shooting, you might want the long leg model to get the elevation needed and still keep the butt of the rifle in proper position in your shoulder.

You probably won't have much luck trying to raise LRA direct. EuroOptic and Kyle at XLR both stock them and can probably answer your questions

I have the tactical and the F class model. The F class seems a little steeper in the legs and the bottom of the legs seem closer together. The Tactical model seems to have a wider stance. My F Class model has push pins to lock the legs in position while the tactical uses push buttons. The F Class also has 2 screws to mount to the rail while the tactical only has one. I enjoy either one. They are just about the same height and they are both super stable. I use the F class on my 338 LM and it is great.

Guys when would you say needed the F class over the light tactical ? When I enquired I was told the Heavy Tactical is no longer offered......from some pictures I had seen it did not look very different form the F Class so maybe his product range has been consolidated a little ?
Also what advantages do you guys think the light tactical offers over the Atlas (Which IMHO are great) ?

I have the Heavy, as well as several Atlas bipods. The Atlas is a great piece of hardware, no doubt about it. However, I've recently gone back to using the LRA for F-T/R comps. The main advantage of the LRA is it's [much] wider stance. I personally find it makes for a more steady platform overall. The advantage of the Atlas is that it doesn't completely lock down; in other words, you can move it slightly if necessary to get your reticle back to horizontal if it shifts a little bit. With the LRA, you have to reach up and undo the locking lever, adjust the cant, then lock it back down. So each bipod has positive features, I simply prefer the wider stance of the LRA. I should also mention that the LRA Heavy is going to put just over 1/2 lb more weight on the front end of your rig than the Atlas. If making weight is an issue, that could present a problem. However, if you're running this type of bipod and loading it like I do, a little more weight at the front is not a bad thing. It's a slightly different critter than using a sled-type bipod/"free-recoil" setup.
Edited to add: I think the width of the stance on the Light version is very close to that of the Heavy. So other than a slight difference in overall weight, they are probably quite similar in how they perform. BTW: Euro Optic also carries Dave's products now (link below).

Yep, call Mark. I have the longer leg model and love it. The shorter model is nice if you have something with a rear monopod but if you ever have to shoot uphill or dont have nice level ground area to lay in, you may have some trouble getting the elevation you need with the shorter model.
