I am just getting in to long range shooting and need a good scope. I my rifle is a 6.5x47 lapua with a manners stock and defiance action. I have access to a 1000 yd range. I have looked a Vortex gen 2, Kahles, and I have also looked at S&B but they seem to have a lot of options for a Reticle. Is there one I need to be look at for a rookie. Thanks for the help guys this is a big purchase for me and I'm trying to buy a good one . Any pointers on scopes would help guys thanks

I have the P4f in mine, its ok... a little busy at first but you get used to it. My only draw back is that it only has 1mil windage from center which is no big deal until your way out there and only need say .3 mils, now your holding in dead space! I agree with the above user try to see them in person, they all look super cool in the diagrams but seem totally different in the scope
Define your needs an get what fits/works for you. Go to a match an ask why they use what they do an asked to look threw some. Don't worry about what the thundering heard uses.

I have the Tremor2 in my S&B PSR it seemed a little busy at first but now I am use to it. I like having each mil numbered.
H2CMR for me followed by Gen2XR. But after having .2 wind holds it's just easier for me and I'll probably never go back to a .5 mil wind hold reticle. Luckily the market seems to agree.
