God damn, it's like you can peer directly into my soul. I actually graduated boot camp as honor guard in charge of Gunny's, and joined the fleet as a sargeant major. I've known several grunts in my own time, and they all thought they had the biggest dicks in the world. They were the one's that got libbo pulled and one even got caught masturbating to gay pornography, no shit. I'm not making any judgement calls here, but it sounds as if you probably got picked on and spent most of high school stuffed in a locker with your undies wedged up your ass crack, so you thought joining the Marines would make you "cool" yet you barely graduated boot camp and stumbled through SOI. Hit the nail on the head, did I?

I love it when support talks shit about combat arms. It's always "you couldn't do it without us" I'm pretty sure freedom wouldn't exist without us grunts. I usually read rather than fill this place with my opinion, most people here have a knowledge base quite a bit larger than mine and so far all of my experience with people on here has been great. Good knowledgeable people. It is such a dissapointment that there are asshats like this coming on here with the "I served so you owe me" attitude. Probably quite a few spelling errors as well.

Look bro, a lot of us take this pretty serious. The only sniper rifles on this site at the ones used or issued to snipers. Most take this extremely serious.

You having served should have pretty much known this already, but whatever.

Just start over and try again, this time with a little more knowledge and tact than before. It's just like being a boot, you don't know what to do or what to say, and everything you do is wrong.

So before you get banned and loose a great resource for you to learn some long range shooting, just chill out and try again.

Also, I didn't spell check this or look for grammatical errors, so piss off if any of you nazis find some.

A few more posts and he'll get "promoted"! I can't bear to watch. BTW... this criticism of one MOS vs another is completely antithetical to the spirit of the Marine Corps. I believe it is called the Corps for a reason. Having been a member of a pretty "tight nit" group in my past life, I have a pretty good understanding of what teammates are. This does not sound like anything any of the Marines I've had the pleasure of meeting would say. Nuff said.

Well I was never a sniper, so excuse my ignorance. And how the FUCK is posting on an internet forum "like being a boot?" Jesus, you guys take this shit way too seriously. Having posted on this forum and having gone through boot camp, I can honestly say they are nothing alike, although I can see some people here treat them as being equally as serious. Which is sad, by the way.
And to that Cat weirdo guy, "Welcome to the Hide," seriously? Really? I seriously think I stumbled onto a cult or something. The boners you guys get over acting high and mighty on a gun forum would make a pubescent kid embarassed to associate with you.

I've posted on several forums when I had questions about various things, and never been greeted with such a bombardment rude comments in my life. If everyone hated me saying the word "sniper" or "zombie" so much, just ignore what I said. It always amazes me what people say when they have the comfort of the internet and relative anonymity at their disposal. People have such big balls when no one can see them. Anyways, this will be my last post, but I pray you all will have a host of other such "n00bs" to feast on when they venture into your forum seeking information, and perhaps you'll "flame" them for not knowing the artificial "rules" you've put in place.

If you are serious about shooting, there's a lot of guys here who could help you greatly...all you have to do is understand some basic etiquette and house rules/protocols.

FWIW, take it or leave it, I'd suggest a better course of action could be to consider apologising and starting over rather than throwing all the toys out of the pram at the first opportunity.
