I am a huge Tikka fan, I've built a few customs on Tikka actions. Their barrels are usually quite good, and basic rifle function is much better than the price tag would otherwise indicate.

I don't know, but I saw it and it rings so true it is a bit worrisome. Definitely need one for optics. Though I wonder who the top dog manufacturer would be? Probably have to split it 3 ways.
I can imagine the optics one would bring out contention as well lol.you can add the MOA version of a scope to the chart with a WTF and it leading to one not realizing they should have bought MIL.

If you're brand new to bolt action guns, don't go get a custom action with a custom barrel and aftermarket stock. Start with a factory gun, figure out what you like and don't like, and then you can move your nice glass over to a new rifle down the road, if you even decide you need that. Tikka factory rifle will shoot better than you do (that's not a knock - my Tikka shoots better than me and I've been doing this a long time). And you'll lose almost nothing selling your Tikka down the road if you do want to upgrade. You'll lose your butt on a custom setup if you unload it.
Well I would gladly buy a custom and never own a shitty factory rifle again if it were me.

It just goes to show how diverse peoples opinions are. It also makes it very difficult for a noob to make a choice haha.
I most likely won’t make the dea sotex match that was discussed previously with Stella but you should go to it and mingle. Insert yourself into the various groups conversation introducing and letting them know you are new and ask if anyone has a tikka you could handle anlong with others, it’s mostly personal feel. You’ll also be able to look through various scopes as well.

The only thing that makes this a possibility is that #1 it comes with $650 bonus bucks that I can use for a bipod/rings/misc, It's MSRP is $4000 so it seems to be a pretty good price, and they have credova so I don't have to bend over and take it up the tailpipe all at once. Also I can have it today which also makes it appealing.
Good scope, just not worth that much. Those sell for like 1400 here on the PX
That scope sold new for 1500 last year, it’s a generation removed.

I've been looking on there but I am hesitant to buy on the PX just because I don't really know once I make payment if I will ever see the product lol. I suppose I could check their history. I will check it out again. I know someone from Texas Gun Talk that has a spare Vortex 5-25x Strike Eagle that he said I could try out. So that will be a good first step at least.
I'll give you another option. Just buy an SWFA 10x fixed with the quad mil reticle. That's within your budget, and they work. Or you can try and find their 3-9x. Buy decent 30mm rings and even if you need larger diameter later you can always sell them.
Euro Optic is still 2,500 for the 4.5-27 Gen2. Same as PA. Interesting that the Gen3 6-36 is also 2,500.

Back before liberty optics jumped ship, yeah. And that euro black version was from before they increased normal msrp in all the rzrs.
