Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

Let's see some pics of your new M110 with the can on...and some groups too. Let us know what kind of rounds work best work well in it too.

Congrats on getting the office to sign off on such sweet rig.

Or my favorite, two frags, an wait a minute to see who wants to surrender. If they still don't answer, a willy peter, will get the ball rolling. Civi's have too many laws to worry about.

John K. Singlaub's approach worked every time, as he was a Fan of the saying,...shoot the lawyers an politicians first.

Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

lol blue line,
i did think of beta mag but theyre price prohibitive at the moment (give me a minute) and i am a little chagrin there is yet no provision for a bayonet on this build.
i also may attempt to add a bit of rail for a laser on the float tube at some later time as well as swapping the ancient aimpoint artifact for a eotech. the fireball exiting me muzzle also begs pig or vortex flash hider though im not sure they would even cut it?
despite these shortcomings, along with a total lack of irons at the moment, its me new favorite pistol. preliminary testings had it running palm size groups offhand at 50 yard target with very little effort using radway green surplus. good times.
my son tells me theres a video game boss on metal gear that has this same basic piece but with the drum and a carry handle, so it must be good, right?

Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

thanks blueline,
sorry i wont be able to join you in the new leo forum because apparently my years in the service dont count enuf for me to get access. so i guess all my sks sniper rifle expertise that is opsec will have to stay untyped.
as far as entry carbine, update is that the new ar pistol now wears a yankee hill floated quadrail that the guys at black dawn gave me a great deal on. so it now has flip buis's and can attach optional laser if i wanted to look real deal cool guy. did also acquire a israeli countdown mag as well as a couple pmags for feeding the beastie with class.
still havent adressed the fireball that emits from the muzzle when me bumpfires, but i spose that constitutes shock and awe value so....now i just need a strobe light to achieve violence of action upper handtastica.
peace me leo friend

Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

Jumpin in late but here are my thoughts. I owned a complete 11.5" POF P415 that was manufactured in 2010. The quality of the carbine was excellent but the reliability did not meet my expectations. It also did not like the weight or the tall rail. This peticular carbine kept having failures to extract, both suppressed and unsuppressed. I eventually sold the upper for a 11.5" BCM and never looked back. It runs flawlessly...period. So BCM gets a vote from me. Also, when our department was finally authorized to carry personal patrol rifles I organized a group buy through Noveske for some 14.5" basic rifles with MOE furnature and John gave us an EXCELLENT deal! I'd give Noveske a call about their 10.5" guns with switchblocks, they would make a perfect SWAT carbine in my opinion.
