Hey guys,
I know that this stuff is REALLY hard to come by, but if anyone has any Lapua brass for a 300 Win Mag, or knows where I can come across some, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Lapua doesn't list that they make .300 Win Mag brass.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

my buddy has 200 cases brand new. he doesnt even own a winmag, but he wont sell it to me. just in case he ever builds one. what a dickface!

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

I gave up and went to Norma and also use Win. The Win is pretty thin, but it's consistant enough for normal shooting.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

I just bought 200 pieces of win brass for the 300wm. The necks were terrible. It was all I could do to get them to run through the sizing die. The 2 batches I had before this one was very good. If I had it to do over I would have spent the exta money on Norma brass.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

I sent Lapua an email a while back about the possibilty of them producing it again and the said they had been researching the market to see if it would be worth it to them.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

I called the lapua rep and he said this has been discussed very heavily recently. They are strongly considering remanufacturing brass for the 300 Win Mag. He said the more calls he gets the more he can push it. So if you guys want this to happen, call him and tell him u want this made!

Small batches come up on this site here and there, but it's commanding 338LM prices, or close to it, so figure on paying about $2 a piece for the Lapua brand 300WM.

Guys that have it know it's worth money and won't give it away.

Sometimes you can get lucky, however.

There's somebody here, selling RWS 300WM brass for a $1.25, so search the Options/Accessories forum.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

Ive got 5 shots on my winchester brass with minimal wear. It does take some prep work on virgin brass, but other than Lapua, most brass does. Im giving Lapua a call. My buddies shoot sometimes with Jack Neary from team lapua. Ill plant the seed in his ear too.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

Lapua never made the 300WM brass. It was made by Norma and annealed and finish sized by Lapua.

Does the Norma 300WM brass come annealed like the Lapua?

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

Well I got around to trying that Hornady brass. Not good. Most of the 50 rounds loaded would not chamber in my custom Rem700. Not sure what the problem is but I sized them in the same die as my Win brass.

Strange, new brass should headspace on the belt.
Why not just screw the sizing die down a little more? </div></div>

While magnum brass is supposed to headspace on the belt it normally does not....not even close.
The chamber was probably set up for a crush fit on a specific case shoulder. Bump the shoulder and I bet the problem goes away.

Re: Looking for some Lapua 300 Win Mag brass

I have Lapua and Norma both.........they are identical other than the headstamp.

If you just have to have "Lapua" on the head, I have 50pcs once fired in a match chamber I'll sell for $1.50 ea.
