So, I know this has been discussed before and pretty much shut down in fear that the info will somehow get to the wrong hands via the hide. My problem is I need to understand how to calculate this shot and can't find any info.

Can someone either help me out here, PM me, or point me in the direction of where to find such info?

I'm not mil or LEO but I can insure you I'm not looking for this info for the wrong reason. I've seen this shot/stage come up at a couple matches and I have no idea how to calculate it.

Any help would be appreciated, at least a pointer or hint of how to go about this so I can figure it out in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Loophole shot....

I have supplied military units and several law enforcement agencies with this information on request, after verifying the source of the request, and will continue to do so.

I will not supply this information to anyone else, and I hope no one else does.

At the Rifles Only training facility, we supply training on that shot to qualified personnel on request - but we know who we are dealing with.

I would hope that most tactical match shooters would be knowledgeable enough about short range ballistics to be able to figure it out.

It's not rocket science - but, then, rocket science is all that difficult.

Re: Loophole shot....

The Membership here on Sniper's Hide needs to stop asking this question or my next course of action is to ban the original poster for no less than 10 days. Especially when you post and say you know these threads asking this same question get locked, and removed.

The idea that a match director would be putting a stage in a match that requires the shooter to "calculate" the shot seems pretty absurd to me. What are they doing putting a 1/2" hole some where on the range and telling the shooters to guess where to position themselves for the shot ? Please…

Stop asking this question, period because we are not answering it nor are we allowing the discussion.
