Things that may have helped you, open to suggestions from diet to vitiamins whatever has helped.
Voodoo king being in the medical field your problem withyourlower back must be evaluated by a medical doctor or a neurolosurgeon with spinal column surgical experience. You need to have at least an MRI and MRA to assess for any spinal nerve compression or spinal cord compression.
After your results are reviewed then a plan of care must be formulated that best fits your lifestyle and occupation.possible treatments include:
Physical therapy if not contraindicated
NSAIDs orally or parenternally for a small time frame
Intrathecal pain medications
Corticosteroids
Surgical fusion of vertebrae
Decompression of intravertebral disks
Muscle relaxants such as Robaxin, soma, flexaril, and sometimes even Valium helps to relax muscles.
Less invasive treatments would be exercises that target your back and abdominal muscles.
The use of abdominal belts to help support and align your lower back
Chiropractic intervention
There is some evidence based practices that validate acupuncture as a treatment and possibly a cure by balancing your internal energy balance.
Rest of course
Medications such as hydrocodone, OxyContin, and MS contin carry many negative side effect and are usually reserved for severe impairment of function secondary to your pain. Not to mention the potential for addiction to them.
With your best interest at hand I would have you checked by a medical doctor that specializes in your type of problem. Don't be afraid to shop around and see what other options are available to you. Some doctors will try to treat you paliativly with pain meds and a half ass assessment, but there are some doctor that are emerging from medical schools that treat you holistically. Being treated holistically is by far the best way to get you back to your previous state of activity.
Hope this helps.
