LWRC 6.8 SPC

Re: LWRC 6.8 SPC

A buddy of mine has one. It shoots the silver state ammo really well, way better than my lwrc's in 223. It spayed hornady ammo though. Sorry, I don't know the specs on either ammo.

In my experience, LWRC's aren't known for their accuracy. Super reliable (except the repr), but not really sub moa guns. If accuracy is your goal, I would look elsewhere.
btw- I own 2 lwrc 223's, my bro has 2, and the above mentioned friend has 2. I have also had a repr.

Re: LWRC 6.8 SPC

Just some food for thought... you may want to checkout the noveske group buy about a 6.8 barrel. I have no useful info on your OP but I know my 7.62 barrel is worth every penny.

question is are you a 1 MOA or better driver?

Re: LWRC 6.8 SPC

I have the LWRC A3 in 6.8. Using SSA ammo With the 110 sierra GK ( non tac ) and the 115 gr SMK (otm) ( non tac ) it is a moa rifle . With the 110 GK it is a sub moa rifle.

It isn't really a 600m rifle.. I would look at 300 give or take 100.

I planned on hand loading for this rifle. However, I'm a 308 guy so I may be swapping this or the REPR.

Re: LWRC 6.8 SPC

I have the a2 in 6.8 with a 14.7 barrel and it's definitely moa rifle. Last weekend a buddy was talking about pistion ar's and accuracy (negatively) until I put 5 3 shot groups in under a inch of each other with the ssa pro hunters.

my a3 in 5.56 is new and I havent' sighted in the scope but with irons, I was shooting some groupings at 50 and 100yds. I'll report back after Sunday after I zero my pst but I'll bet it's gonna tack moa as well

lwrc barrels are known for strength, accuracy.....

Re: LWRC 6.8 SPC

6.8 is fine to 600 (with factory Hornady 6.8 110BTHP), beyond 650 out of a 16" barrel is where things get sketchy. I've heard different reports on LWRC accuracy (mostly decent to good), but have never owned one personally. I say get a Noveske Recon barrel in a Rogue hunter chassis and spend the saved money on ammo.
