My eyes aren't the greatest, but do you see any hollow point openings on any of those?

He says M118, not M118 LR.

They look like the 173gr FMJ/BT bullets, not the 175gr SMKs.

At $15.20 per 100, they'd still be interesting for practice/plinking/friend's ammo.

Thanks, you're right.

I now see a couple of the HPs, so those look good for the price being asked.

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

I have bought these and they are hollow point but i would run them through a 308 sizer first before loading .I use a Lee push though sizer ,works fine .I havent shot them yet . Arnie

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

I shot some of these tuesday and they were not to good at 500 meters ,maybe minute of ram at the silhouette range .At 300 meters they seemd to be pretty good ,was hitting the pigs every shot and not bad grouping .Now after trying these bullets i shot 5 good Nosler 175 custom match at the ram at 500 meters This group measured 2 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches high. Belive it or not i was shooting a scoped WW2 Swiss K31 laying prone on a bully bag .If i can figure our how to post a picture i will post it .Arnie

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

Some one wanted pics of the K31 Swiss Military rifle so here they are .Believe it or not that scope mount is held on by one bolt and clamps to the reciever and is very repeatable when you take it off and on .

suasponte ,there alot more money now but still great quality since the Swiss never went to war .Yours is really nice ,did you refinish the stock? Most of them are beat up around the top of the butt becaue of some kinda rifle drill they did where i guess they kicked the rifle at that point .I use mine to shoot steel silhouette matches so 175 grain bullets are the only bullets i have tried and even then i ring a ram once in a geat while .Arnie

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

I've shot almost all 2000 of the M118LR pulls that I bought this summer. They were good for about 14" at 1k compared to "first grade" 175 SMK's being in the 8" range. Inside of 600yd they're still a 3/4MOA bullet in a 1/3 MOA rifle. Definitely good for practice.

The 175gr "sniper bullet" that wideners sells is a POS. Best I ever got it to run from 4 different rifles (3-308's and a 30-06) was about 1.5 MOA.

I traded them off to a 3-gun guy at my club for a bunch of pistol brass.

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

Shot these today at 100 with my stock remington. The vey first group was around .8 with a noticeable flier, the second group was .58 ad the final group was aslo around .8 with another noticeable flier. All five shot groups 44.5 grain varget lapua brass and winchester primers. I will try to post picks when I shoot them at 500 later this weekend. They weighed in at 175.4 grains.

Arnie, yes I completely refinished the rifle. It shoots great, and I plan on trying to cast some 170gr lead to try in it.

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

I actually saw this post about 3 weeks ago and ended up bidding on and winning that exact auction. I shoot 175 smk's out of my remington, but was looking for some bulk bullets cheap to load up for my 1919. I sent the guy paypal the night the auction was over, and he said he'd ship the next day. After a week and a half I sent an email asking if they had shipped, and got no reply. After two weeks still no bullets and no reply to another email. I finally told him he was getting negative feedback and that I was contacting both gunbroker and paypal, and he decided to answer that the same day for some reason. I was expecting that something had came up, he'd apologize and send them out, instead, he said there was no need for attitude, that he had 850 positive feedback, and that only I live in a perfect world where I get everything I want, and that it was too late to ship them that day, at noon. WOW! Needless to say he got plenty of attitude in my reply to that. I did end up getting a refund, no bullets.

I wouldn't buy a thing from this guy, sure he's got 850 feedback, but if you happen to be one of the ones that he takes your money and then forgets to ship what you bought and suddenly your emails go to his trash except the one where you threaten to get paypal and gunbroker on him, this guy is a total Dick!

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

I have had luck getting cheap .308 pulldowns from these guys. Looks like they're out right now, but I've got a few thousand 175s and a few hundred 168s over the past year. Supposedly SMK pulls--I'm not entirely convinced since they seem to vary slightly more in weight than what I would buy new. Some pull marks are pretty bad as well. They are about 40% off so it's a good deal for me, anyway.

Re: M118 175 pulled bullets

He supposedly forgot to ship mine also, when I sent a email asking about them he said nothing got shipped that day. I did get them a couple days later, it ended up being two weeks to get them from IL to MO. They are decent bullets for the price but I will probably look elswhere next time. I shot these at 500 last week and they were strong out more thsn the 178 amax I ussually shoot, but still good for practice It will probably take me a while to go through 1000
