Gunsmithing M18x1 thread dimensions

I dont get a lot of metric work. What is the correct thread length for M18x1 threaded muzzles? From shoulder to crown, assuming a .06 thread recess.

Depends on what you intend to thread onto it.

Some brakes or suppressors have a different shank length dimension. If you thread it for say .600 and the suppressor or brake calls for a .500 shank length then .600 is too long.

If its a non specific "general" M18x1mm thread, I would make it .650" long with thread relief.
