Sorry about this post. I know this has been discussed many times, but since I can't use the search I will ask. For you guys that actually shoot the M1A at 1000 yards,, can you tell me the scope that works the best for you.. I was going to spend between 1200 and 3K.
Thanks

Re: M1A Scope

USO 3.2-17x44, Nightforce 3.5-15x50, Premier 3-15x50, just pick one if most of your shooting is 600-1000. I have a short-barreled 18.5" M1A that I'm waiting for a USO 1.8-10x37 but most of my shooting will be between 50-600 with the occasional stretch with 155gr Scenars out to 1000.

Re: M1A Scope

Im using a NXS 5.5x22x56 on my NM. Shoots 3/4 moa al day at 300. Havent gottenout to 1000. For the money NF is hard to match esp if you wait and pick up a good used one.

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, but, why scope it? If you do actually have a 1000 yard range in your area it's likely only open to folks for NRA LR, in which case, you'd want to shoot your M1A in iron sight Service Rifle division, that's to say, if you wanted to have an opportunity to win any awards, since the M1A would not be competitive in Any/Any events.

Re: M1A Scope

I like how you think Charles.. And I agree 100%, but I need to spend money on a nice scope since I am going to get a break on my Health care cost in the near future. The savings will be so great that I might buy a new M24=)

there are a couple walk up 1000 yard ranges in Texas, depending on where he is. It's a big state.</div></div>
