Congrats, very nice indeed! Its a G action, so I guess its a fairly new rebuild.
Hey guys thanks for all the info. Can anyone tell me who they called at Remington? I have not had any luck talking to anyone. I sent in my paperwork in November and then 3 weeks later I got acknowledgment that my order was received. Last weekend my credit card was charged, but the charge disappeared. I spoke to my bank and they said that it wasn't rejected. They said that Remington may be "testing" out my card. If anyone can give me any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I had really good luck emailing them, they would respond within a few days at most. I'll look through my correspondence when I get back to work on monday and PM you what I have for contact info from my order.
Ok guys, I have a question. Have any of you that has one of the rebuild rifles thought or considered bedding it or spinning it apart to true things up or attempt to improve on what it already is? I know that's not the point of buying and having a unique "factory" rifle like these but the idea has crossed my mind. Or is the general consensus leave it as is?
Just wondering........
We took a look at what its going to take to build this. We have several hurdles to over come, it may not be cost effective to continue on this project. We would have to buy the proper broach and knurling tool. The broach is a very expensive tool. Unless someone wants to donate that tool or let us borrow it, we would have to buy it. Just that is going to put us over the $200 each build cost. The machine time is realistically 4-6 hours each piece. The build cost will be more than $200 each even if I absorb the Engineering cost. The problem with that is, I don't own a M24 and don't have a need for a flash hider. In order to make this project pay for it self, we would have to sell a minimum of 30 pieces at about $300 each. Right now I have a commitment for 10. So when 20 more people commit, we can move forward. Lets hear your thoughts. I hate to give up, but I just cant see it go further .
I have a GI issue flash hider, why would anyone actually want one? It requires a sight correction if removed and it is kinda ulgy actually. I'm just curious.
Any slight possibility that these will be offered to the civilian world?
There is one on gunbroker right now. My understanding is they will not be available to civilians directly from remington.

Besides on the hunt for a set of Ok Weber / RPA sites I'm hunting for an original EMR & ARD.
Update: I've come up with an original EMA/ARD and waiting on an answer back from Drake Associates regarding some RPA sights.
Nice kit! Love the distressed look
Its unfortunate that it does not ship with all the accessories like the originals...
I got the email yesterday that my rifle will ship out this upcoming Monday. I hope it will come with all the accessories. I ordered it originally in category 1 in Oct 2012. When my order came up the first time I was deployed and the FFL for my local gun store had expired. No one notified me about it. This time my credit card of all things expired! They notified me immediately, let me give them the correct card info and my card was charged yesterday. I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas morning!
Are those screws for the rear sight base flathead little hard to see with the reflection,I picked up my RPA sights and surprisingly it came with the mounting base, although my rifle has a base attached,I also managed to come up with the LSU filter from a member on another board,so it pays to search around.
Been eligible for awhile and finally got enough $ to send in my paper work.
Emailed Remington on 4 Mar, noticed a charge on my credit card early last week; it then dropped of the credit card and then noticed it again on Monday.
FFL dealer called on 25 Mar and said I had a large box show up. Sure enough it was the M24
