So M2HB's aren't generally precision weapons but believe it or not, they can be to varying degrees. Little known in the shooting circles is that the M2HB is falling by the wayside --not many civilian buyers. Fewer M2 builders (there are few left, out of those only a couple are top notch). For now, they are steals up front: $15k for a used full auto, $8k for a NIB semi. The semi M2HB is every bit as lethal and hardcore as the full auto version (seldom are bursts or strings fired even with auto and auto is slow on the M2HB version anyway).

So I'd like to setup an M2HB owners club on here because the number of reputable M2HB mfg.'s is getting smaller by the day. It requires a LOT of dedication and investment to build, work and maintain these weapons at the arsenal level. If you own an M2HB, you also likely know it's the most expensive weapon in your arsenal. Not by cost of the weapon, but all the other things that add up: progressive presses for .50's, expensive components, hard to find and expensive parts, etc.

I was hoping we could get a discussion on these weapons on here given the cost and sometimes rarity of parts, I think an "owners/users" group could go a long way towards getting each of us what we want and at a lower price. Networking for M2HB owners. For instance, I need a tray compatible with the UPA and a motorized 360 turret ring/mount --for the right price.

I was hoping perhaps we could trade parts or discuss issues regarding these workhorses of the military. It would behoove us all because the M2HB has by FAR been the most expensive weapons system I'm aware of --it dollars you to death. We could trade parts, you know, my junk is your gold and vice versa.

So I'll stop now and just see where this goes.

Are you on 1919A4.com? Fair amount of M2 discussion there over the years, mostly semi but some FA.

I went on one, I'm not sure if that's the one or not. It didn't have much traffic though. Took weeks to get one reply, if that. I figured since I have this, some of you on here may too.

There aren't that many people truly qualified to work on or build 'em anymore, at least not many in the business.

Yeah, the .50 can dollar you to death, the M2 is worse. Tripod and flex mount weren't bad though, gotta really watch for contract overruns and surplus deals.

And if you load your own, you'll also find yourself with a no-shit ammo factory and bidding on barrels of BMG brass on govt. liquidation sites. Not kidding.

Not familiar with that. Any pics or model #s?
You can pop up like a gopher shoot and hide

Never seen anything like that so can't help on value. I see a mfg tag on it but it looks like it might be some kind of custom built mount. Be curious to learn more about it. Must be a hoss to lift itself and 100lbs+ of M2/ammo.
