M40A3 Barrel Usage

Hey, all. I’m trying to get info regarding which barrels were used during the era of the M40A3. I’ve tried to hopefully find some kind of compiled list showing which brands they used and when but I cannot find this exact info. The M40A3 used Krieger Barrels?

Pretty sure they used Schneider blanks

Ok. I’ve read the only used Schneider, but I could have sworn I read or heard they used Krieger Barrels. Couldn’t find any documentation for it, but I know there was some T&E stages for parts.

IIRC Schneider was the main barrel supplier in that timeframe... I bought a blank directly from Mr. Schneider that was a rough turned "contract overrun" barrel around the time the M40A5 was getting up & running

Originally they were Scheiders for certain. I don’t know if they changed latter or not.
