I want to a m40a5 look alike out of my remington 700 sps 308 with a 20 inch barrel . wondering if anyone had ideas on stocks. or the tactical rail mounted on the front of the stock

Well for the stock, the McMillan A4 with saddle cheek piece, six flush cups, and one swivel stud is correct. The spec forend rail is a PGW DTI night vision mount but something like the Badger EFR mount will give the same effect. The muzzle brake used is a Surefire model. You'll also need the Badger M5 DBM system too. You know actually the easiest thing to do would be to call GA Precision, tell them you'd like a M40A5 and have them hook you up right.

You can try but they are based in Canada and may or may not sell it directly to you. I heard at one point GA Precision had some but you might have to use a Badger mount to substitute it.

I spoke with Steve from PGW last week. He said that they are completing a run on the DTI mount and they should be ready by the second week of Jan. I would check back with them at that time.

Hogstooth has about the nicest m40a5 you will ever see. Only differences are that is has a Surgeon rather than an Rem action and a shorter barrel.
