Perhaps only in that failed state of California. Traveled recently for a quail hunt in GA and stayed at the airport Hilton at BWI airport in Maryland the night before leaving as there was going to be an ice storm and I needed to preposition.

They had the coffee service in the room stocked.

The restaurant was closed, but they had in-dining service with delivery (room service).

And this was in the Socialist State of Maryland, no less.

In GA, none of this stupidity.

Its California and the rest of the coastal nanny states....but not everywhere

As for in room coffee, I was just in a cheap motel in VA last week (literally $70/night) and it had in room coffee, maybe just the high end places care?

Recently took a road trip from CA to Idaho. Halfway point being Reno, NV. In Nevada there is a max of 4 people per table even outside. Nevermind the 5 of us live in the same household and just spent 5hrs in a car together. Nope! your family gets split into 2 tables.
From No indoor dining in CA to 4 max in NV to
Anything goes in Idaho.

Additionally while in ID I went into a gun shop and asked if I need a mask. The Guy responded "This is free America, do whatever you want"

This but for COVID, is so bullshit ... tired of it. The costs haven’t changed, front of the buss is no cheaper, but I can’t get a second of service. Can’t microwave that shitty meal, COVID, no drinks but sealed stuff, Covid,

I am gonna drive again this year when i normally would have flown and I have 1K Premier Status for 2021 and it’s a complete was of time.

Had to eat out in the cold last night, I was sad faced, no room under the heaters, the shops are all outside and blocked off from going inside. Most places to eat are nuked, the airport was shut down, nobody at the bars, all closed, only the fast food pre wrapped take out shit is open or available, because food transfers Covid

Fuck this shit sucks, we have our class with 12 students we can’t meet and greet without playing silly games, and having to do Common Core math to fit 12 people where they only let 6 or 10. The next class after is bigger and so even harder.

I live in KS. I just returned from the local supply house, (Dillons grocery store) where they had playing on a loop, “Masks must be worn at all times while inside the store. If you have someone with you that cannot wear a mask, you should consider placing your order online and we will deliver it.” As I am hearing this over and over while I shop it occurred to me; I am absolutely tired of this mask BS. There is no known proven science that these things do a damn thing except dry out my mouth. I would love to find a way to push back on the mask mandate but unfortunately one person isn’t going to accomplish anything. 😡

A Dr office called today because their heat was not working. When I arrived a receptionist came to unlock the door and asked if I had an appointment.
Umm, I am here to repair the heat.
Do you have a mask?
No, and I won't wear one.
Wait here then. And she closed the door with me on the outside.
A couple minutes later the Dr opened the door and showed me where the furnace was.
The doctor is a good guy and I have done a lot of business with him over the years. If it was somewhere else I may have just walked back to the truck and went to the next call.

I had a job replacing a water heater in the most hard to get to fuckd up spot at a children's museum that I was doing pretty much pro bono. They told me I needed to wear a mask while working and they weren't even open at the time. I said see ya loaded my truck up and left. The contractor I was doing the job for called me up and I told him I absolutely wasn't going to wear a mask while working they could get someone else. After they got a few other quotes from some other companies that were going to charge them full price they called me back up kissing my ass begging me to come back and apologized.

I work in a lab but sometimes we have to travel with sales as a "technical liason". I'm hoping and praying it doesn't become a requirement and I'm glad people haven't observed this trend either. Thank you for the input.
