Magnum Research 22LR - What Do You Think?

I'm looking for a new 22LR & a Magnum Research MagnumLite MLR-1722 .22LR Rifle caught my eye at the gun shop I'm just looking for some feedback or should I just stick with Ruger?
Are they worth the cash, I can pick this one up for $550.00

That's a good price. I have one in .17HM2 with the skeletonized laminated stock and the carbon fiber barrel. It will shoot .25" groups at 50 yards all day. I really dig their proprietary upper receiver with integral picatinny rail. I got an extra .22lr barrel and bolt handle for it,but have been having so much fun with the HM2 I haven't changed to the .22lr yet. You of course can go the opposite way to .17HM2 as easily,using the same magazines.

also had one in m2 , thought it was well made and a good value . it may not be a vq , but its half the price .

Wow, ive seen them as high as 775 here. That seems like a good price.
