Those dang low ones were some serious flyers! No explanation on my end other than the ammo, no called shots low.

have not shoot this competition for 5 months, it is good to be back. Went to the range in the morning, Since i was the only one there, the range officer was watching me and since i know him rather well, he called behind me to tell me i was doing MOA at 100 yard the first 7 shoots. but i got careless, did not read the wind change on the 8th, went low on the 9 ring. All went down hill from there. I was not sure what happened with the 0ther 9, i read the wind right and the trigger control was there, but 9 it was. I have found that this SK ammo is very consistent over all, but one or two in a 25 rounds will have low charge.

Excellent! I know what you mean about low ones. On mine, it seems as if they were weak. I actually saw the the dang bullets cross my sight line and go into the target.

thanks Mark5, I am not sure i can see the .22 holes at 100 yard if i use a 12x scope, like you had done. I am cheap, if i had to use 40 cents a round 22lr ammo, i would just shoot centerfire round. So CCI SV 0032 and SK standard plus is good enough for now. I do have some eley black box, i think i may use it at this yardage and see if the score improve or not.

I have to double check but when I tested the black box, there was no accuracy difference, slightly less than the Wolf and SK Standard Plus. Believe I checked at 50? maybe 100 it may be different. Don't know if it's cost, time or both but not a lot of participation on these?

I was also thinking ordering some RWS R100 for this competition, but have not. We used to have a few more shooters doing this 100 yard. I, for one, had been busy with two jobs, so can not find time to go to the range. I love this competition because it really test ones snipping skills. Also a test of patience and concentration, since it is 25 rounds long course. 1,000 yard range is far away from me and centerfire match rounds cost a lots more, 100 yard rimfire will have to do.

Hey guys:
If someone is willing to be the "Thread keeper" of the SH Short / Long Range Rimfire Competitions, I'd appreciate it.

I sort of inherited / volunteered to do it since 2009, and although it's not really a tough thing to do, when added to all the other stuff I have going on, every little thing that I do these days seems more like work than recreation. So I'm clearing a few things off the plate, unfortunately the "Thread keeper" being one of them.

If someone is willing and able to take the reigns this month, let me know I'll tell what I do to get the stickie changed, so on and so forth.

It was great being able to participate and I had a blast helping to put these things together from the start with the help & suggestions of so many folks (which I am flattered that you guys allowed me to), but it's time for me to let it go.

Top Predator: first of all, thanks for all your time and effort spent on this competition for the last 4 years or so. Secondly, If no one step in, I am willing to do it for the 100 yard competition portion. I am busy with 2 jobs, so, it may not get the result posted on every first of the month, but i should able to find time to do this. Thanks again for all your work.
