Maybe you guys are wrong about Whitmer

I'm putting in some raised beds this year as we have heavy clay soil. I can't even get the local excavator to bring a dump truck load of black dirt. I've got time yet but this is going to suck if I can't get some decent soil for gardening...

Local feed store is "curbside service" only. I'm not sure if there's a single piece of curb in the county. Call in order or give your order to one of the guys that load. stores decision, not mandated by gov. Called all around looking for Roma II green beans. Finally located some at a hardware store. In the ground as of Friday and currently getting their second rain. Before I found the romas, I put in ~290 ft row of pole beans (KY Wonder or Blue Lake, don't remember). This will be the first time I've trellised beans in probably 10 yrs. All made possible without the help of or interference by gov.

I started rototilling yesterday. About 50 ft and the motor coughed oil and gas out of the carburetor. I checked the oil and it was grey and smells like gas. It's done!!
Spent the rest of the day trying to beg, borrow, buy or steal one. No friggin luck. Finished the day running the chain saw clearing and cleaning up some pasture.
The woman said that one of the stores is scheduled to have some tillers delivered Tuesday.

Tomatoes are already sprouting in the starter trays. For this area they need to be planted by the end of may.

I got a rear tine huskvarna from lowes a few yrs ago. Honda engine. I signed up for a lowes card and got 5% off if memory serves. The one I had before had a takumpsy (?) engine and was a complete pos.

So drain it, fix the stuck float/bad needle that let gas pee into the case while stored, add fresh oil and try again . . . It may well be fine.

This could well be a $5/10 minute fix!

Eaasiest test, since it was running, is dump the case, add oil and test. Shutoff fuel valve between uses . . . See this in OPE fairly regularly . . .

Anything that's gonna sit for more than a couple weeks I shut off the fuel or drain the tank and run till the carb is dry. Also learned awhile back to stay away fron ethanol.
