McMillan Contour Question

I'm a newbe so please bear with me.

I'm having a mechanic build me a new thunder stick with a Krieger barrel. My mechanic advised me that if I buy a McMillan stock, to get a Krieger #18 contour so he could properly fit it.

Anyway, an A4 with a remington "varmit" countour is up for sale in the classified and I'm wondering if it will work for my #18 Krieger.

If it wasn't the weekend, I would just call McMillan, but its Saturday night and the stock will probably not last.

Can anyone tell me if this stock will work for me?

I would say that it's close enough that your gunsmith should be able to make it work without issue.

Opening up barrel channels or Glassing them in and sanding out to fit a stock to a barrel is not hard to do to someone that knows what they are doing. Buy it

It's easy to open up. Just go to your local home depot/ lowe's and get a wooden dowel slightly larger than the dia of the barrel and a few different sand paper grits and your set. It is very simple. Just go slow you can always take more off but it's hard to add it back.

Well,..I was in time an got the A4 with the remmy var contour,..on FexEd headed my way now.
