Hey guys. My name is Hank and I have been sober for 6 months now...
Just joking. I have been lurking and searching for a while now and decided to finally register and participate. I have been shooting for the better part of my life (only 27 years old now). It all started with a red ryder bb gun at age 8 with my grandpa. Then it was .22, .223, .243. I have the hankering to move into a .308. With a nice range nearby with 500 to 1000 yard capabilities I wish to get into long range shooting.
I am prepared to drop some change on this thing and and willing to spend the extra money for warranty and customer service.
This lead me to the McMillan TAC .308B, Why? Because their facility is 33 minutes away from my house and if things were to go wrong I would simply drive to the manufacturer. I would much rather be in this position compared to a sako, tac ops, surgeon, or ai where I would be dealing with **** issues over the phone and email.
I have a tour scheduled next week of the McMillan facility and if all goes well I will be putting a deposit down on their TAC .308
My only concern at this time is their action. I havent seen many reviews on this. Does anyone here have direct experience with the McMillan action?
They have hit the nail on the head with their .50 cal and I have to assume that the attention to detail would be the same on the .308.
any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated
