Finally got out to do some testing with the new MDT ACC 455 chassis. This thing is unlike any other 455 chassis on the market today. Big thanks to the guys over @ MDT for continuing to innovate and bring new products to the market. They have been on fire lately! Thank you @MDT_OFFICIAL
Being able to have a chassis that mimics your centerfire/competition chassis for your CZ 455 is awesome. I was running both the new MDT ACC CZ 455 and MDT ACC with my Origin/220TB today and its nice to be able to set them up the same way and have the same feel between both of them. I have 3 internal weights installed inside the forend and 2 on the outside of the forend.
A thing to note, minimum barrel length to clear the end of the forend on this chassis is 20" just an fyi. I was shooting Bartlein's drop in 0.900 straight blank cut rifled barrel in 18" which doesnt clear the forend but with the Rugged Oculus it does. I also have installed the BSCAR 2 stage trigger that Bill send me to review with this chassis and barrel and all I have to say is WOW. Nothing available on the market today for the 455 that compares to this trigger. Fully adjustable, I have it set with a 8oz second stage and this thing is crisp as hell. Cant say enough good things about the BSCAR trigger.
I only got a chance to shoot the ACC from the bench today. By the time we moved over to the 700yd range to stretch its legs and do some positional shooting the skies opened up and we got dumped on and had to call it for the day.
One thing to not is the magwell on the ACC is large and similar to the ACC chassis so the OEM mag latch or even a DIP extended mag latch are way up in the magwell. Not easy to make quick mag changes. MDT is working on a new magazine release and I am really looking forward to testing that out which will be icing on the cake for this beautiful chassis.
More to come! Stay tuned!
Here's some quick 10 shot groups we shot at 50yds from the bench testing the 18" Bartlein with the Rugged Oculus attached. Not bad for rushing and subpar weather conditions.
Man those 2 ACC's look sexy as hell together!
