What's the call for a top cover based on? I know a lot of this kind of stuff is marketed for running clip ons, but Imma venture a guess that a very small percentage get used for that. Is it just for aesthetics, or something functional? Am I missing out on something by not having a top cover on my gun?

This is what should have been offered to start with from MDT. I'll have to sleep on it. Have other things I need to take care of financially. Think you will ever have another run done if you run out? I'm guessing you aren't making much off of these.
Yeah look, by the time I coat, pack, do export paperwork and send these - it’s not great. Having said that, I’m excited for guys to get a product that I wanted for myself. If there is enough demand for another run of 20 I’ll likely do it.

Man Henning really is doing Gods work with these 1 piece top covers. I dont mind the control bridges because some people only want to run a short section but I really think its a huge oversight by MDT not to even offer a full length one piece cover even though people have been asking for them. Luckily it leaves room for awesome individuals in the community to step up and deliver. Personally I even like the design choices more on this 1 piece versus the official bridges.
Thanks mate - glad you like it. I gotta admit it’s a different feeling selling regular gear compared to making something, taking people’s hard earned money, and hoping that it lives up to expectations.

It was brought up internally many moons ago and decided that we didn't want to make them at the time. There will always be an aftermarket for the aftermarket and people like @Hennig coming up with stuff to make
I had a few messages with Maarten prior to going down the rabbithole of making these - I was definitely happy to go down the path of least resistence and buy an MDT version if it was in the pipeline. Having said that, I understand you guys have a million irons in the fire, and cant do everything.
I need to do something like that with my Elite. I have too many all-black rifles.

It took some custom brass spacers, but Andrew got the top cover set up on his FX DRS.
Again, I’m not sure the demand - with enough interest I could do a dedicated DRS version that wouldn’t need a spacer, but I can’t imagine too many of these are in the wild.
