Rifle Scopes MDT scope rings?

These scope rings seem to be geared toward heavy recoil rifles, hence the six bolts. I like the built-in anti-cant level as well. The weight is not posted on the website so I sent them an email. If I was in the market for "beefy" scope rings, I would definitely consider these. But in my opinion they are over kill for a .308 rifle (or slightly larger caliber rifle). They are most likely significantly heavier than two or four bolt scope rings and I know some people are concerned with the weight of scope rings, me being one of them. So I cannot say I would be interested in them for any of my current rifles/builds.

I just got my ESS chassis last week and had ordered MDT 34mm rings at the same time but my dealer said MDT called and told him one of their machines was down until later this fall that they use to make their rings. You might want to check on estimated time of delivery if you need them anytime soon.

Anyone end up using these? I really like the 6 screw version (from what I see online...) but wouldnt mind some actual user input.

they are a solid set of rings. i posted a pic of my tikka in the tikka t3 thread. any particular input you needed? i mean, i cant fault them. replaced the steiner rings i had on the tikka with the mdt as i found the steiners' bubble level way too hard to see for me on the tikka. will end up putting the steiners on my rimfire, eventually.

my tikka with almost everything MDT

MDTs US distribution center is a couple miles from my house. I've been inside and had the Grand tour.

Their rings at at least as good as anything out there.

@Skookum has a set. He can give better info than me, but everything I saw indicates a top notch outfit.

I haven't had them long, but they locked up solid and haven't given me any reason to doubt them.

They aren't breaking any new ground, but are apparently made of good material and precisely machined. What else do you need?
