I've sent it to my attorney for review... In my current trust obviously I am the grantor, but I have designated other trustees which would all be subject to the new background check... Not that any of my trustees won't pass the background check; I just thinking that multiple background checks are certain to add more time to the already ridiculously long wait...
I'm thinking the easiest way around this for me is to have my attorney draft a new trust with just myself as the only trustee and then just have my wife & minor children listed as beneficiaries. So as the only trustee I would only be the only one subject to the new proposed background check.

My lawyer still doesn't know exactly what they want. He said he'd get back to me when he knows something.
It looks like all you need is fingerprints and photo and a stop by the Sheriffs office to get a form to show you aren't a criminal. But it's all BS and redundant, the crap gets transferred on a 4473 too and it also goes through all the ATF crap already.
My wife is a trustee because in the case something happens to me, she doesn't have to go through bullshit to keep any of it, it's all hers already.
It's just feel good shit for the anti gun crowd. I hope it just goes away.

Hoping it will go away will not help make it go away. I hope I win the lottery every time I buy a ticket. You'll never guess how many times that has worked for me.
