What do they need pay raises for??? Figured some of that “Foreign Aid” gets stuffed in their back pockets on a regular basis.
Hopefully, they will oust Johnson (as Speaker) when the new congress convenes. But who would replace him that we can count on being on *our* side?

Trust me when I tell you that to remain Speaker, one must play a mean game of chess and be an expert at slight of hand. Mike Johnson knew this bill was crap, but he also knew it would not pass. The Speaker must play both sides, while also doing what's best. It's a crap job no one would want to do. Mike Johnson is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, but I have faith that he has a strategy that is solid, conservative and good for the nation. Sometimes, I want to string him up, too, but I'm reminded that it's part of the smoke and mirrors that must be played to keep as many of the wishy-washy and liberals, open to voting for the more conservative issues. For that very reason, the going "conspiracy theory" is that they are releasing the report in an effort to keep him from rejoining congress. I don't know if that's an effective practice because Gaetz still has a mouth and can tag people regardless of whether or not he's "in office." In fact, he's probably better off "out of office" since he can't be subject to their disciplinary rules.
