I have been trying to decide between a Millet TRS-1 and a Falcon Menace 4-14 or even the 5-25x. I found the Millett on Amazon with free prime shipping so I ordered it since they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee,
I got it today and quickly mounted it and ran off to the range.
My three gripes....
At 100 yards @ 16x the image was definetly cloudy, it looked 100x better at lower magnifications
Impossible to get a perfect parrallax setting. Either the reticle would shift a little left or right, or up and down, I couldnt get it set perfectly so there was no movement.
At 16x I needed my eye to be in a perfect spot or the image was really cloudy, again at lower magnifications the eye relieve was perfect, but at 16x is was horrendous.
Now I didnt use the sunshade which could have been my problem, I will take it out again tomorrow to confirm.
So what has been your guy's experience? I realize this is a $300 scope, but my problem is that my $120 centerpoint powerclass had a better picture at its max magnification and its eye relief was very forgiving.
