Hit the farm in lone jack mo this mornin a nasty morning but you cant shoot them birds in bed.. I got out and set up on my pasture and hit the owl call a couple of times and heard one bird so i sit quite for a about 15 min after shooting light and started to do some early morning clucking. Almost as soon as i got my first few calls out there were two toms gobbling at everything i threw at them. i look down the pasture ane there they were already on the ground about 150-200yds out strutting and running my way. I didnt have time to put out a decoy so i just hunkered down inside the woods and went back to light clucking and got them both in to about 15yds and picked out the biggest bird. So i got my tag filled at about 6:30am
going back in the morning just to video and call im taking new comer to the turkey hunting word. Has never been hunting so hopfully we will have the same kind of morning to get him hooked and another outdoorsman to the group.
