for you Wisconsin guys, I could have Jari (she works close to Adam) pick up powder at Adams and bring here to the Almena / Turtle Lake area and i get to Rice Lake quite often or if you fella's get this way.
We should just get togather here someday and have a little shoot.... dang shop projects and field work in the way for a little while though.

hmm, little quiet in here... How has everyone been lately? Been doing much shooting? Been really busy on my end trying to keep up with work and my social life. Hopefully this thursday I will be able to sneak away to the range for a little bit while the little lady is at work. Working on a new project right now also, trying to get all the components gathered.
I have a 700pss in 300rum that I have been playing with, it was my first magnum and had so much fun, I decided to go up a caliber. Scored a Rock 338 blank, 27" M40 contour 9.4 twist 5r. So I guess I am going to make a 338RUM build. Should be fun to play with, do not think I will put a brake on it as it will double up as a hunting rifle. I figure I can handle the 210gr bullets in the 300rum, so the 250gr bullets in the 338rum shouldnt be that much more brutal considering the rifle will weight a couple more pounds because of a thicker barrel.
Anyhow, keep us all up to date with what you guys have been up too.

I have a month left before AT and then Croatia, so I'll get some shooting in there too, after that I'm off to sniper school in AK...plenty of shooting there.
Should we consider a MN vs WI shoot? a little friendly competition? winner takes something home, and next year do the same? prize would be something like the jug U of M plays Madison for...?
Just a thought.

I finally got all my sheetrock work done in the basement Tuesday morning so I have been hammering out this room...
Just getting my room into shape here, it will be my office and reloading room all in one.
Hopefully this weekend I will have some more time to get all the staining done and get the doors on all the cabinets and the counter top fastened... Maybe even get my T-7 mounted up.

Getting closer!
I have a Dillon Strong Mount coming that I am going to modify to mount my Redding T-7 press... Hopefully that will be here tomorrow or Friday! I also have a desk coming Friday or Monday so I can officially move into my "Man Cave"!!!

Just a friendly reminder that Elk River has F class league night at 6pm on Monday nights. Cost is $10. Sounds like Adam and myself will be there shooting. Last week I heard it will be 44rounds fired at 300 yards. Two strings of 22. Come out and shoot, keep score if you want.

Looks like I'll be in the area early July for about a month, then out to Arizona for a little while, just in time for that mild Phoenix summer.
Unfortunately, I don't see much shooting in my future for a while.
Adam, looks good. What kind of flooring are you going to put in? I did laminate flooring on the cheap recently on a concrete floor like that and it came out very nice. Just use the best underlay you can.

I've been fiddling with my PSS "clone" and I threw a coat of Alumahyde II on it prior to the move. Let's hope it's cured all the way.

Ive just had a hell of a time trying to find the time to get on here.....hell its 3am right now and Im just taking a break from homework for a few minutes....figure Ill go outside and burn a cancer stick too....then back at it....I could just shoot myself with this "interpersonal communications" class I HAVE to take....uhhhh...glass is half full....she got her fealings hurt....he needs a hug....its ok to cry....
Im going to have to kill something and eat it raw just to cleanse myself of this mushy, crybaby, "emotions are ok"...gag me class...........something big....like....a mountainlion....or a bear....its got to be big and dangerous to out do the torture .....and Ive got to do it with something I need to use up close....like.......maybe.....a SPOON!........that is if I dont use it to dig my eyeballs out with FIRST........

I'm here in Duluth, great area, you have no idea how happy we are.
We found a house, definitely more expensive up here than we would have thought but it's a house we should be able to live in for good. Plus, there's a detached garage for car stuff as well as a new parkerizing setup & reloading area.

I threw some 250gr .338 caliber sierra match kings down range at 2925fps today with outstanding results! Using a 26" finish length rock barrel and an op inc muzzle brake. Used my 700pss 300RUM for the action and stock. Now if Kenny will get his butt in gear w/ his 300RUM we can go have a recoil fest!
