Hey Nbot.mn maybe depends if I have the money, ammo and time for it .I still have not seen or heard anything about sniper hide cup 09 yet either. Hey Austan I'm a girl and I've seen guys do the same thing either drunk at the wheel or they fall asleep. we are all human and make mistakes.merlin45kout

Re: MN member checking in!

there is no excuse at all for drinking and driving nope notta! human has nothing to do with it. people are first class stupid!
in this day and age it simply no valid excuse. nope notta. defending is even worse. how many of you use your cell while driving? almost as bad of a distraction. most people just flat out lack common sense!

Re: MN member checking in!

LISTEN UP PEOPLES....

For those who can attend, Since matches at Princeton start two weeks from tomorrow I talked Adam into a small get together at his place, more like at the range.

It will be TUESDAY 12-2-08. This coming Tuesday. For anyone that attend we'll be meeting at Adam's early in the AM and leaving for the Elk River range to work on some come ups. We'll be shooting out to 600yrds. No fee or anything like that. I know its last minute but it's the only day it will work, and with allot of us with new rifles, we'll need to figure out the come ups. I'll bring targets and such. If you can make it sound off. If you know of any other Hide members that might like to go but might not get this in time, give them a call.

If anyone needs directions to Adam's house call him 24/7 (hehehe).

Re: MN member checking in!

Gman, 18 yrs on the street as medic showed a whole lot of STUPID! And, another 8 in the ER, well plenty more stupid! It is what it is, a choice made nothing more nothing less. To even think of defending it well, there is nothing that can justify it! We could talk about the nice officer pulled over at 2 in the afternoon with his kids in the car. Would that really show how all kinds of STUPID eminates from a complete and utter lack of common sense? Come on!

I don't know... But I drink and drive all the time. Sometimes it's more like a sip and drive. It's all good though. With the right beer, I get kind of an awesome buzz..

The best thus far has been Barqs. Cause it has bite. Wait, are you guys talking about alcohol? ooh... nevermind

The above photos would be 50,000 55gr FMJ's that I get to count out and there is another 40,000 Sierras in the background and everything needs to get shipped by Wednesday as we are going out of town on Thursday morning...

Sorry guys, will get out there soon!

Adam

Re: MN member checking in!

OK guys, just got off the phone with Roger and this is the email I have sent out to everyone on the "list". If you are not on the list get in touch with me and I will get you added!

Hey everyone,

This is your friendly email reminder that there is a match on Sunday, December 14th at the West Branch Gun Club. This is the first match of the year so get your kitchen passes in order and come shoot!

Setup will start about 8:15, so come on out and help setup so we can start
shooting on time. Please be there no later than nine so we can get the
teams and scoring all set up and ready to start.

Let me know if you have any questions.

P.S. I have been very busy lately and if someone would be willing to take over the emails each month for awhile please get in touch with me or Roger.

Thanks!

Re: MN member checking in!

what's the best way to get to the range from cities???? I think I am gonna make it this year! Don't have any good loads, but I think my prairie doggin' rounds will have to pull double duty!

Re: MN member checking in!

get on 10 and go to 95, head west a couple hundred yards on 95 and if I could just rember the number of the road heading north....... someone will have some directions or a few of us can meet up and head there.

I've alwayse got spare rifles if someone needs to bum one

Re: MN member checking in!

If coming from the south....

From Hwy 10 go NORTH on Hwy 169

As you come up to Princeton go PAST Rum River Drive....go PAST Hwy95....the next exit will be Rum River Drive again....at the bottom of the ramp take a left....follow that road down through the curves....you'll come to a stop sign....go strait through it....the first house you come to on your right is a white house....just after the white house and horse fence take a right through the GREEN gate....if the gate is locked just sit and wait...they probably wont show up till exactly 0830 to unlock it.....

Re: MN member checking in!

OK.... I talked to Ken and Roger, Ken says he thinks it will be a 'go', but Roger says he doesn't know for sure, but would guess it will be "weathered out" as he puts it. Winds are going to blow hard besides the snow factor... Being I come from so far, Noah and I probably won't be making the trip. Which sucks as I've been out to the range four times this week preparing....

Re: MN member checking in!

(obviously) I stayed home too.....driveway was iced up enough to make me question the wisdom of a ride into the center of the storm......sorry for being a wimp.

next time........

good luck to those who braved it!!! Pics will be a must!!!

Re: MN member checking in!

I ventured out for a few hours in the truck, things were bad.... Glad I didn't go, it wouldn't have been pretty. I'm sure they didn't shoot.

i will give it a whirl......ironically, I am a teacher--US history. But, I have worked as a photographer and teach photography a bit still as an afterschool thing......

Re: MN member checking in!

Haha I like that. I do like you guy's left one taller for cleaning guns and what not. Yep finals are done for another semester, I have roughly till the 22nd of Jan before I have to go back, might head out a little early though. I'm taking the .50 up north over Christmas to do some shooting, along with the salvage to get my brass fire formed. As long as weather doesn't get in the way I'm hoping to be able to shoot at the next match with you guy's in Princeton, I should have my junk ready to go by then.

Re: MN member checking in!

What barrel? Just curious what it is and if someone stocks them????

I was just thinking of doing a 300 whisper barrel for my Rem actioned .223AI when the Stiller/Manners .223 AI project is built.

All my stuff is finally here,
Badger action
Manners T4-A stock
Badger bottom metal
Jackson 2 stage trigger
Rock barrel, 6.5mm 8.5 twist
Badger FTE brake
SAS 30 cal supperssor.... awaiting approval

Re: MN member checking in!

Something I picked up off another board. Douglas 8 twist 17" stainless 1" strait tube, threaded, chambered in 300/221 for savage. Should be here in a few days. Haven't ordered any dies or anything yet. Not sure if the redding dies come with the tapered expanders for making brass.

Is Adam out there.....he may know.

WI50- it sounds like you have the makings of a tactical sweede...
